R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, 44, who was arrested and charged on Saturday for assaulting two crew members and being drunk in the first-class section of a British Airways flight from Seattle to London, has apologized, reports Reuters. “I am very sorry for the incident and, of course, very embarrassed about the whole thing,” said Buck in a statement read by his attorney. The American guitarist was released from custody at Heathrow Police Station but is due to face charges in Magistrates Court on April 18.
