Quincy Jones 'Fine' After Being Rushed to Hospital for 'Shortness of Breath'

Music giant Quincy Jones is recovering after being rushed to hospital on Thursday night, PEOPLE can confirm.
“Quincy is fine,” his rep tells PEOPLE in a statement, confirming that the prestigious music producer had been taken to a local hospital in L.A. after suffering shortness of breath.

“He had some shortness of breath and in an abundance of caution he went in for observation. He is fine though,” his rep added.
Jones is known for his legendary work with artists such Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson.
TMZ reported that the 82-year-old was at his Bel-Air home when he became ill and an ambulance was called to take him to a nearby hospital.
