Queen Elizabeth II is fond of horsing around.

Her majesty went for a ride Monday in a colorful headscarf, beige jacket, white leggings and riding boots. Her companion looked as though he could have galloped right out of Downton Abbey, wearing a bowler hat, tall boots and traditional riding attire.

The British monarch, 88, loves a morning ride through Windsor Great Park, according to The Daily Mail, something she’s been doing since age 4. Her current horse is a Fell pony named Carltonlima Emma.

The Queen has even competed in the Epsom Derby, winning a second place finish in 1953 and third place in 2011.

She is likely to attend the Derby this Saturday, as she does each year with family.
