Puck, the one-time star of MTV’s “The Real World,” is serving a year’s time in a Los Angeles County jail. Puck (real name: David Edward Rainey) pleaded no-contest to charges that he beat up his girlfriend. Rainey, 30, became briefly famous in 1993 on MTV’s real-life soap opera in which cameras follow the lives of a group of strangers who are set up to live together under one roof. He was a cast member during the show’s third season, which was shot in San Francisco. “Puck doesn’t mind that people know he’s in jail,” his mother, Victoria Kaye, told the New York Post. “He just doesn’t want people to think he is like O.J. Simpson.”
