Monaco’s high-living Princess Stephanie has married her boyfriend, Adans Lopez Peres, a Portuguese circus acrobat, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the principality’s royal palace.

Stephanie, 38, and Peres, believed to be 29, were wed Friday in a private ceremony, palace spokesman Armand Deus tells the Associated Press. German news reports say the couple married in Geneva, but Deus claimed to be unaware of where the ceremony occurred.

The princess — one of three children of Prince Rainier, 80, and the late Philadelphia-born actress Grace Kelly, who died in 1982 — had two children, Louis and Pauline, ages 10 and 9, with her one-time bodyguard Daniel Ducruet before they married in 1995.

The marriage ended 15 months later, however, after Ducruet was photographed in the nude by a European magazine, which showed him frolicking poolside with a Belgian stripper.

Stephanie’s third child, Camille, 5, is the daughter of another palace guard, Jean-Raymond Gottlieb.

The current issue of Vanity Fair includes a lengthy report on Stephanie and her purported strained relationship with her older sister, Caroline.

The article also mentions that there appears to be no heir apparent to Rainer’s throne, since Prince Albert is a bachelor with no foreseeable spouse.

Before falling for her new love, Stephanie dated a Swiss circus director and elephant trainer, Franco Knie, who happens to be the new groom’s boss.
