The iconic, seven-time Grammy winner died on Thursday at age 57. Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson reported that first responders attempted to provide CPR to Prince at around 9:43 a.m., Thursday, but were unable to revive the victim. He was pronounced dead just 24 minutes later, at 10:07 a.m. The Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with both the Hennepin County Sheriff s Office – working out of Minneapolis – and the Midwest Medical Examiner s Office, are continuing to investigate Prince’s death, according to the release. Prince had been battling the flu for several weeks, and was hospitalized as recently as last Friday. Despite his illness, Prince performed a concert in Atlanta last Thursday, and threw a party at Paisley Park on Saturday.
