Prince Philip's Rude Remark

A “humiliated” Prince Philip was forced to issue his first-ever public apology after making a “disgusting” racist slur, reported Britain’s Daily Mail. The Duke of Edinburgh reportedly remarked during a tour of a fuse-box factory that some piece of low-tech equipment looked “as though it was put in by an (East) Indian.” Said the Mail: “As rage mounted, the Palace stepped in. Less than three hours after Philip made his comment, a spokesman said: ‘The Duke of Edinburgh regrets any offense which may have been caused by remarks he is reported as making today. With hindsight, he accepts that what was intended as light-hearted comments were inappropriate.'”
