There are drawbacks to being the president – long hours, constant criticism, life under a microscope. But the job also has its perks, like having Prince and Stevie Wonder come over to your house for a private concert!

Though the event wasn’t on the president’s public schedule, and White House spokesperson Josh Earnest wouldn’t give many details to reporters on Monday, he did admit a private bash took place at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on Saturday.

“The President and First Lady did host a private event over the weekend,” Earnest said, according to TIME. He gave few other details, but said about 500 people attended the soiree and that the Obamas paid for it themselves, The Washington Post reported.

Rev. Al Sharpton let the cat out of the bag early Sunday morning with a Tweet that said Prince and Stevie Wonder performed together at the party.

NFL star Russell Wilson also had trouble keeping the secret, posting an Instagram from the event, which he attended with Ciara.

The Obamas themselves had no trouble staying mum, but their house party was just too fun for guests to keep it classified.
