Jason Priestley remained in serious but stable condition Monday at Indianapolis’s Methodist Hospital, where he is recovering from an Aug. 11 race-car crash at the Kentucky Speedway that left him with fractures to both feet and to his spine, a moderate concussion and other injuries, reports the Associated Press. Doctors say the 32-year-old former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star and 11-year racing enthusiast is expected to make a full recovery and may begin his rehabilitation as early as this week. Officials, however, had no idea when he might be released from the hospital. Last Wednesday, Priestley underwent six hours of surgery. That was two days after the actor was outfitted with a back brace and the same day that doctors at the University of Kentucky Hospital (where he was first taken after he crashed into a wall while racing at 180 mph) said that he is expected to fully recover after weeks of healing and rehabilitation. Dr. Andrew Bernard of Kentucky Medical Center told reporters last week, “It’s going to be many weeks before he’s back up and doing some of the things that he likes to do.”
