President George W. Bush has had to face tough economic and diplomatic issues during his two terms in office, but his daughter Jenna’s upcoming wedding has presented its own challenges, he joked Wednesday.

“I had to face some very difficult spending decisions and I’ve had to conduct sensitive diplomacy. That’s called planning for a wedding,” Bush said Wednesday eliciting some laughs from the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Jenna is set to wed Henry Hager at her parents’ ranch in Crawford, Texas, on May 10. The couple’s engagement was announced in August.
