Which slugger sets your heart aflutter? A-Rod, Chase Utley, Derek Jeter or Cole Hamels
Forget home runs, some of the baseball stars slugging it out in this year’s World Series are just worth taking home!
Two of the Philadelphia Phillies hotties turning heads this season are 30-year-old Chase Utley at second base and pitcher Cole Hamels, 25. Sorry, ladies, they both may be easy on the eyes, but they’re spoken for.
Utley married college sweetheart (and fellow animal lover) Jennifer Cooper in 2007. He hails from California and comes up to bat to the song “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin.
Hamels’s wife may be familiar to Survivor fans – Heidi Strobel was a contestant on the sixth season of the reality show. The couple just welcomed their first child, son Caleb Michael, on Oct. 9.
As for two of the Yankees studs – shortstop Derek Jeter, 35, and third baseman Alex Rodriguez, 34 – neither are currently sporting a ring!
Jeter, who has been linked to Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly, became the Yankees’ all-time hits leader last month, passing Lou Gehrig’s record of 2,721 hits. He is no stranger to the spotlight, appearing in multiple endorsements and championing a foundation to keep teens off drugs and alcohol.
Meanwhile, A-Rod (notably supported by uber-fan and new girlfriend Kate Hudson) is the youngest player ever to hit 500 home runs and commanded the richest contract in baseball history in 2007, which netted him $275 million for 10 years.
With the Yankees leading the series three games to one (thanks in part to Rodriguez’s bat), Monday could be the last night all four are in your living room or local bar for a while, but a girl can dream can’t she?
