Pierce Brosnan dealt with some real-life drama Wednesday night, as his Malibu house caught fire and dozens of Los Angeles County firefighters swarmed to the residence to put it out.

The fire started in the garage of the home, according to multiple media reports. It began shortly before 10 p.m. and some 50 firefighters responded to the scene.

The blaze was under control within 35 minutes, KABC-TV said, adding that the garage and one bedroom were damaged and one firefighter was treated for a minor injury.

The James Bond actor, 61, seen most recently in a Super Bowl ad for Kia, was home at the time and was photographed standing with authorities outside the house as the fire was being brought under control.

The family got out safely after a fire detector went off, KABC-TV also reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
