“I have two in the house and one in college in New York so I’m going to New York next week to visit her,” Facinelli told PEOPLE at the 5th Annual Wags And Walks Muttin’ But Love Gala in Los Angeles Friday.
The actor, 42, has three daughters, Luca, 18, Fiona, 9, and Lola, 13, with ex wife Jennie Garth. While he’s in New York, Facinelli and Luca Bella will have “big family dinners, just catching up,” he said. “She’s like my best friend now.”
When Facinelli isn’t spending time with his girls, he’s relishing in his role on CBS’s Supergirl as a longtime comic book fan. “I always wanted to do a comic book show,” he says.
Peter Facinelli’s Most Thrilling Project Yet
“I used to collect Spider-Man comics when I was younger and I co-created a comic book called Orphans, so it’s exciting to be part of the super hero world.”
Not only is he fulfilling a dream, but he is also excited about the message Supergirl sends to young girls – especially his.
“I have three daughters it’s perfect because I get to watch it with them and it’s very inspiring to have this female lead that’s very powerful and saves the world.”
