Three months ago, The Artist actress Penelope Ann Miller capped off a successful awards show season with the less-celebratory news that she was splitting from her husband of nearly 12 years.

But the couple won’t be separating after all, PEOPLE has confirmed.

Miller, 48, who had a supporting role in the Oscar-winning film, dismissed her request for legal separation from James Huggins on June 15.

According to the original documents filed in the L.A. Superior Court, Miller had cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The actress requested to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Huggins, and she also asked to have sole legal and physical custody of their children – Eloisa, 11, and Maria, 3 – with her ex receiving child visitation rights. was the first to report their reconciliation.
