Geldof was honored Monday at the same church where her mother's funeral was held back in 2000
Family and friends said goodbye to Peaches Geldof on Monday as her life was honored at the same southern England church where her mother’s funeral was held back in 2000.
Her father, Irish singer-songwriter Bob Geldof, The Rolling Stones’s Bill Wyman, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York and Kate Moss were among those gathered at the church, where Geldof once married her second husband, musician Tom Cohen, and where her mother, Paula Yates, married in 1986.
Mourners lined the street to pay respect to the British model, writer and TV personality, who died earlier this month at the age of 25. A hearse carried Geldof’s coffin, which was hand-painted with flowers and a portrait of her family, reports the U.K.’s The Telegraph.
“RIP Peaches,” read a message written in chalk on the church’s wall.
Her autopsy was inconclusive, and Kent police said toxicology tests will be conducted in an attempt to determine what killed Geldof. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and most bonkers of all of us,” her father said in a statement when news broke of her death.
Geldof is survived by her musician husband and their two sons, Astala, 2, and Phaedra, 1 this month.
