It's a considerably nicer view than the one we usually get on flights

As you prepare for this holiday season’s flights, here’s something to hope for.

London-based programmer Paul Williams was lucky enough to get a bird’s-eye view of the Aurora Borealis while on a recent flight.

“Flying on a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to New York when the aurora forecast was high, I balanced my camera on a rucksack and left it snapping away out the window,” Williams wrote on YouTube. “What an amazing spectacle was to be seen!”

We agree. Here’s hoping the next time we look out of our plane window, we see the Northern Lights and not that pesky gremlin again.
