Paul Walker's Car from The Fast & The Furious Is Up for Auction
The 1993 Toyota Supra is expected to fetch around $200,000
Mecum Auctions in Indianapolis, Indiana, will be holding the auction on May 12. This specific car, which is one of a few built for the movie, can be seen in the climactic race between Walker’s Brian O’Connor and Vin Diesel‘s Dom Toretto, and it could fetch in the neighborhood of $200,000, according to Yahoo!.
The car is equipped with nitrous-oxide bottles, as in the film, but they aren’t connected. It’s also got a beefed-up suspension and roll cage. There are many other car-related details mentioned that we don’t particularly understand, like “a naturally aspirated, 220-hp 2JZ-GE 3-liter inline 6 engine meshed to a 5-speed manual transmission,” as well as the phrases “Bomex body kit,” “APR rear wing” and “Dazz alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama rubber.”
Here’s the car (and Walker) in action, rendered in appropriately loving HD-quality.
