What do you say when your dad is a superhero?
Paul Rudd is set to star as Ant-Man, a sci-fi action thriller opening July 17 – however, his 9-year-old son Jack is unimpressed.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rudd said: “I told my son I was going to be a superhero. He asked, ‘Who?’ and I said ‘Ant-Man.’ What he actually said was, ‘I can’t wait to see how stupid that’ll be.’ Swear to God, that’s what he said.” Today’s post on BuzzFeed describes the son’s reaction as “hilariously cutting.”

But for fans of the longtime star, he is sure to charm once again on camera. Rudd’s character Scott Lang plays a “con-man” alongside Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to protect an advanced technology that will ultimately save the world. The best part: Rudd wears a skin-tight super-suit that gives him the ability to decrease in size and increase in strength.

Rudd tells Entertainment Tonight how he got in shape for the role with a killer physique and sexy abs. “It’s not like Rocky, out in the snow carrying a log or anything, but it’s weights and cardio and all that kind of stuff.”

Compared to his past roles in Clueless, I Love You, Man, and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, this may be his buffest. A hunk with a sense of humor, what could be better?
