SCHEDULED: Steven Spielberg, 56, will attend the Cuban premiere of his latest film “Minority Report,” starring Tom Cruise, in Havana next week, opening a festival of his work on the Communist-run island, his office and Cuban officials tell Reuters. He will also meet Cuban filmmakers, speak to students at an international film school founded by Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez and visit Havana’s main synagogue to meet with Cuba’s Jewish community.
REQUESTED: Rapper and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” costar Ice-T (real name: Tracy Morrow), 44, who is engaged to swimsuit model Nicole Austin, appeared in a New York courtroom this week to demand a DNA test to prove whether he is the father of a one-year-old child, Kevin Ice Marrow, whose mother is Linda Marie Sanchez, New York’s Daily News reports. Sanchez, an aspiring actress, dated Ice-T for five months and now reportedly wants 17 percent of his annual income as child support. The court granted Ice-T his demand for the test.
FILED: Rocker Joan Jett, 42, has filed a lawsuit against GMR Productions, claiming she didn’t receive payment for her work on the movie “Prey for Rock & Roll,” the Associated Press reports. According to papers filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Jett was to receive $100,000 for a cameo appearance in the film as well as proceeds from the sale of the soundtrack. She received $20,000 in March, Jett said

Katie Couric was SpongeBob SquarePants, Ann Curry was the Statue of Liberty, and Matt Lauer and Al Roker were Las Vegas stars Siegfried & Roy. It seems that Lauer’s open shirt caused the most talk. He has a very hairy chest. And by Friday morning, he was teased about it by New York’s WNBC anchors, Jane Hanson and Maurice du Bois. Talking about his chest hair, Lauer, 43, told them, “It really was all mine, but a lot of it I just combed over from my back.”
