ESCAPED: German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, 32, her husband, film producer Matthew Vaughn, and their 3-month-old son emerged unhurt from a road accident in London Wednesday when their Range Rover collided with a white van, Schiffer’s spokesman told British newspapers. “Their car was being driven by Claudia’s assistant when they hit another vehicle,” the spokesman said. “Claudia, Matthew, baby Caspar, their nanny and assistant were all in the car. No one was hurt in the incident,” he added.

DROPPED: Kathie Lee Gifford‘s Sportswear label, once a $20 million a year business, will no longer be carried at the nation’s Wal-Mart stores, reports the New York Post, which says the giant retail chain’s announcement caught the former TV personality, 49, by surprise. “Wal-Mart seems to be going in a different direction,” a fashion analyst tells the paper, “trying to grab the younger shoppers, and (that) age doesn’t even know who Kathie Lee is.”

DIED: New York Knicks legend, ex-ABA commissioner and Basketball Hall of Famer Dave De Busschere, 62, collapsed in a Manhattan street on his way to a restaurant for lunch Wednesday and died of an apparent heart attack, according to news reports. He is being mourned not only throughout New York but throughout the sport.

WED: “Enterprise” star Jolene Blalock, 28, and Mike Rapino were married last month in Negril, Jamaica, reports PEOPLE. The couple were vacationing when Blalock surprised her boyfriend and proposed to him. The two tied the knot several days later. It’s the first marriage for both. … Meanwhile, the Orange County (Calif.) Register reports that basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman married his girlfriend, Michelle Moyer, 36, on his 42nd birthday Tuesday. Rodman reportedly met her four years ago, and they have two children together: a son, D.J., 2, and a daughter, Trinity, 1.

ANTICIPATED: “Titanic” director James Cameron, 48, and his wife, actress Suzy Amis, 41, are expecting their second child together in September, reports PEOPLE. Their daughter Carol is 2. … “Monday Night Football” sideline reporter Melissa Stark, 29, and her husband, businessman Mike Lilley, 41, are expecting their first child in September. The couple wed in 2001. Stark will miss the 2003 NFL season and may not return to the program. … “Third Watch” star Molly Price, 36, and her husband, Derek Kelly, 40, a New York City firefighter, are expecting their first child this fall. The couple were married in October 2001.

ENGAGED: FOX News star Geraldo Rivera, 59, will marry TV producer Erica Levy, 28, Aug. 10 at New York’s historic Central Synagogue, reports Thursday’s Washington Post. Rivera tells the paper that the guest list will include the Clintons and former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It will be Rivera’s fifth marriage.
