Pascal Duvier worked as security for Kanye West’s Saint Pablo show nearly one week after Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.

Duvier was seen keeping West safe as the massive crowd of fans tried to get atop the rapper-designer’s platform at the show. The show marked West’s first return to the stage since the attack, which took place while he was performing at a concert in New York.

On Wednesday, a source told PEOPLE that Duvier had not been fired, despite the flurry of questions regarding Kardashian West’s lack of ample security. (At the time of Kardashian West’s horrifying ordeal, Duvier was with her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner as they went to a party in the City of Light.)

“Pascal still works for them,” the source said. “He isn’t irreplaceable though. The family really likes him, but he is not a family member. The new media report isn’t making a difference for the family right now. But Kanye is evaluating his family’s needs. He is ultimately the one who decides what happens with Pascal.”

“It wouldn’t be strange for Pascal to be dispatched to be with Kourtney or the other family members once Kim was ‘safely’ in her residence,” a source close to the family previously told PEOPLE. “And he regularly provides security for the whole family — not just Kim.”

Indeed, Duvier was with Kardashian West when she returned to New York City on Monday to meet up with West.

As West continues his tour, which is set to end Nov. 1, Kardashian West and their children, North, 3, and Saint, 10 months, have returned to their home in Los Angeles. And while Kardashian West is “badly shaken” from the ordeal, another source told PEOPLE that she probably isn’t blaming Duvier.

“Kim absolutely does not blame Pascal for this,” the source said. “She was the one to tell him to go out with her sisters since she was fine and thought she was safe in the apartment. He’s worked for them for a few years now and is incredibly professional and protective — it’s what the girls and family love about him. They are always his priority and he takes his job so seriously — he’s proud of it.”
