PAM BOLTS FROM CROWDS

Things didn’t go so well for Pamela Anderson on a South American tour to promote her syndicated TV show “V.I.P.” A spokeswoman for Anderson says the 10 security guards assigned to protect her could not handle an out-of-control crowd of more than 2,500 male fans in Uruguay, and she was hit in the head with a rock during the melee. The publicist says only Anderson’s personal security guards were able to protect her from serious injury. Anderson called off the remainder of the tour and headed back to the U.S. The publicist says the promoters who put the tour together were “extremely” disorganized. She says Anderson hopes to return to South America soon.
