What’s inside the Oscar gift bag? Lots, reports PEOPLE, and what the contents include also depends upon what you do at the show — win, present, just sit there and look good for having been nominated or just being there. Beauty companies jockey to place their items in the bag, and this year, says PEOPLE, the swanky La Mer division of Estee Lauder will give away 10 of their 16-oz. jars (which retail for $1,000 — yes, you read that right) and 50 of their 2-oz. jars (retail $165) of their “miracle” crème inside the take-home souvenir. La Mer recipients will be winners, presenters and, according to a company representative, “various VIPs.” Britney Spears, Sarah Jessica Parker, Shannon Elizabeth, Cher, Dame Judi Dench, Anjelica Huston and celebrity makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin are already reported to be big fans of the potion. “It’s a great opportunity to offer up your top product to celebrities,” says Tina Thomson of Tina Thomson and Assoc., whose agency reps clients who help fill Oscar bags. “You’re getting your products into the hands of the arbiters of style. It’s a wonderful gift for those people who are familiar with the product, and also a great way to introduce celebrities to something new.”
