Once inside the Dolby Theatre for the big show, the actress-singer, 29, said she was “excited and feeling great tonight” ahead of her “Til It Happens to You” performance while on her way to her seat next to Kinney, 34.
During the show, the singer took to Instagram, posting a picture of her and Kinney sharing a kiss.
“I never thought anyone would ever love me because I felt like my body was ruined by my abuser. But he loves the survivor in me. He’s stood by me all night proud and unashamedly. THATS a real man,” Gaga, who was raped when she was 19, wrote in the caption.
Their night at the Oscars capped off a romantic weekend for the couple. Saturday night, they hit up the Weinstein Company’s pre-Oscar bash at the Montage hotel in Beverly Hills, where Gaga took to Snapchat to share a sweet selfie with her betrothed.
“With the love of my life,” the “Til It Happens to You” singer captioned the black-and-white shot.
Gaga also shared a happy shot on Instagram, in which she showed off her enormous heart-shaped engagement ring.
It’s been a whirlwind award season for the pair, who also attended last month’s Golden Globes, where Gaga took home the best performance by an actress in a limited series or motion picture trophy for her work in American Horror Story: Hotel.
A few years after meeting on the set of her 2011 music video “Yoü and I,” the Chicago Fire actor popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2014.
