Celebrity Oprah Gets Gwyneth to Talk of Motherhood The TV queen interrupts her reruns to talk to Paltrow about her baby, hubby and dad By Stephen M. Silverman Published on August 24, 2004 02:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Oprah Winfrey, fresh from jury duty but deep into summer reruns, will run a new episode this Thursday, on which Gwyneth Paltrow will give her first interview since becoming a mother in May. Paltrow plans to speak about not only daughter Apple but also her secretive 2003 marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and the 2002 death of her father, director Bruce Paltrow, says the Hollywood Reporter. Also on the episode, Jude Law, Paltrow’s costar for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, will appear, as well as the jurors from the Chicago murder case that Oprah just served on. The jury convicted Dion Coleman, 27, of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Walter Holley, 23, following a fight over a fake $50 bill. The Oprah Winfrey Show will then revert to reruns, until the new season premiere on Sept. 13. In other TV news, Oprah’s discovery, Dr. Phil McGraw, will flex his considerable muscle on CBS, which has postponed the fall premieres of 60 Minutes, The King of Queens and John Goodman’s new sitcom Center of the Universe by a week – to Sept. 29 – to make room for his Sept. 22 special, A Dr. Phil Primetime Special: Family First.
