One of the most powerful women on television is also one of the most generous, according to a list published in Parade magazine’s Sept. 14 issue.

Through her Oprah Winfrey Foundation and Oprah’s Angel Network, dedicated to providing education and healthcare for women and children worldwide, Oprah Winfrey donated $50,200,000 in 2007, topping a list of the 30 most charitable celebs recently compiled by the Giving Back Fund, a philanthropic organization.

Musician Herb Alpert came in second, donating $13,000,000 through his eponymous foundation to the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and towards music education programs around the nation, while Barbra Streisand was third. The Streisand Foundation, dedicated to advocating for the environment, women’s rights, and other issues, gave $11,000,000 last year.

Other celebrities in the top ten on the list – which was rendered based on public records of donations made in 2007 – include Paul Newman, Mel Gibson, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, Lance Armstrong, Michael Jordan, former NHL star Eric Lindros, and Rush Limbaugh.
