It’s up to writers whether Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas’s characters get their happy ending on Once Upon a Time, but their costar wants them to end up together forever in real life.

“I hope [they get married], I really do,” Lana Parrilla tells PEOPLE, of the pair, whose relationship was confirmed in April. “I think they make the perfect couple.”

Goodwin, 34, and Dallas, 30, star as a modern-day Snow White and Prince Charming in ABC’s series, but when they aren’t filming scenes, they haven’t brought romance to the workplace.

“They’re great,” Parrilla says. “They’re total pros, they really are. We all know they’re together, but when they’re on set, they’re very professional. It’s not like, ‘Oh, there’s Ginny and Josh. They’re in a corner.’ They’re always in their chair. But when we go out, they hold hands and show their affection and love for one another. It’s very cute.”

At the time he confirmed his relationship, Dallas told PEOPLE, “It hit me like a blinding light,” of falling in love with the fellow actress. “I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now.’ ”

The season 2 premiere of Once Upon a Time airs Sunday at 8 p.m. PST.
