The tennis ace and her sister Serena are huge dog lovers. Venus has two Cavalier King Charles spaniels and a Havanese named Harold. "You're out there on your own and you need a friend who's there for you – wins, losses – and who really cares for you," she said.
The hunky swimmer enjoys a cuddle in bed with 3-year-old dog Carter. Lochte has been known to walk Carter while riding a scooter.
London's 2012 games may be the swimmer's third time going to the Olympics, but saying goodbye to his dogs still isn't easy. "Happy to get sometime with the pups today before I leave," he Tweeted on July 6.
