Actress Diane Farr, who stars on CBS’s Numb3rs, and her husband, marketing executive Seung Yong Chung, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Friday morning, a spokesperson tells PEOPLE.
The new arrival, Beckett Mancuso Chung, weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz, was 22-inches long, and was born at 8:56 a.m. in Los Angeles. He is named after the Irish poet and playwright Samuel Beckett. Mancuso is a family name from Farr’s side.
“Mother and baby are happy and healthy,” the actress’s rep added.
The couple first announced that they were expecting in August.
Farr, 37, plans to return to Numb3rs for the season finale to air May 18. In addition to Numb3rs, she played a female firefighter on Rescue Me and has appeared on TV shows that include The Drew Carey Show and Roswell.
Chung owns and operates his own company, Chung and Associates, a Los Angeles-based entertainment marketing firm.
The two were wed on June 24, 2006, at Rainbow Tarns, a lodge in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.
