Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, move over. Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor are set to star in Baz Luhrmann’s next film “Moulin Rouge,” a musical set in 1899, reports Variety. Luhrman, who directed the movie “Romeo + Juliet” and who is the voice on the current hit single “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen),” says “Moulin Rouge” will be “a re-invention of the musical form. The story will be told using contemporary music in a period setting . . . on the cusp of a new century.”
