Family and tourist favorite Madame Tussauds is amping up security at its Las Vegas location after visitors began posting ”inappropriate”photos with the new Nicki Minaj wax figure online. The wax double finds the rapper, 32, on all fours, recreating her record-breaking ”Anaconda” video. “We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj’s new wax figure. Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologise for any offence this has caused. We doh ave staff monitoring guest behaviour in the attraction and do our utmost to ensure our wax figures are treated respectfully, but on this occasion clearly one of our hosts was not present,” Madame Tussauds Las Vegas said in a statement on Twitter Tuesday. “We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like cannot be taken again.” Minaj herself has not yet visited her wax figure; however, when it was unveiled, she took to Instagram to express her approval, writing “I love it and I can’t wait to see it,” as well as calling it “so iconic.” Last week, she even reposted a photo in which a male fan is seen hugging her backside, captioning it with several “tears of joy” emojis. Many – like rapper Azealia Banks – expressed frustration over Minaj being depicted on all fours. Madame Tussauds defended their work to Fader in a statement, which read, in part: “We made the decision to celebrate Minaj s unforgettable pose inspired by the “Anaconda” video because – thanks to her artistry and charisma – it resulted as one of the most iconic videos ever produced … As with all people we immortalize in our attractions, her representatives were kept informed every step of the way during the figure-creation process.” RELATED VIDEO: Bad Blood Part Two?
