Divorce can be a good thing – just ask Nick Cannon.

On Wednesday, the star opened up to Howard Stern about his friendly relationship with ex-wife Mariah Carey, who’s moved on with billionaire businessman James Packer.

“That’s awesome, isn’t it?” Cannon told Stern. “As long as she’s happy and my children are happy, I’m happy. We hang out all the time.”

The former couple even spent Thanksgiving together with their 4-year-old twins Monroe and Morrocan. And though Packer wasn’t in attendance, “I wanted him to be there,” said Cannon.

Saying he and Carey are still “family,” the American’s Got Talent host said there’s “still love and respect” between him and the singer.

“We all had Thanksgiving together,” he said. “It was beautiful. It was amazing. We’re family. At the end of the night, my son was like, ‘I want to go with you!’ My daughter was like, ‘I’ll see you tomorrow. Come pick me up in the morning.’ So me and my son had boys’ night and we went back to the house.”
