Newman's Own

The New York premiere of “Where the Money Is,” a new caper film starring Paul Newman and Linda Fiorentino, was where the stars were last night. Besides the headliners and their costar Dermot Mulroney, who seldom wears clothes in the movie, there were Janeane Garofalo, Paul Rudd, Chevy Chase and Joanne Woodward (Mrs. Newman). The evening benefited Newman’s charity, the Hole in the Wall Camp for terminally ill children. “I just woke up with it one morning and we built it,” the star, 75, told PEOPLE about Hole in the Wall (named for the gang in his classic western “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”). “About 10,000 children have been to the camp since.” As for starring with a genuine movie star, Fiorentino admitted to PEOPLE: “After I got the film I called my mother and I said, ‘Mom, I got this movie with Paul Newman,’ and she said, ‘Oh, finally, honey, you’ve made it.’ “
