Claudia Schiffer and her husband of three months, British film producer Matthew Vaughn, are going to be parents, the German supermodel’s London spokeswoman told Reuters on Monday. “We can confirm she is pregnant and has got through the first trimester,” said the rep. “Matt and Claudia are absolutely over the moon and think it is great news.” No further details, including a due date, were provided by the highly private pair. As reported by, Schiffer and Vaughn, both 31, held a lavish wedding reception May 25 in eastern England’s Coldham Hall, the couple’s residential manor, following a ceremony at St. George’s Church in Shimpling. Participants, from florists to the vicar, were forced to sign confidentiality agreements, so few details about the shindig have ever been revealed, though Italian couturier Valentino, who did Schiffer’s wedding dress, announced in a statement before the wedding that his creation would be a “classical, almost fairy-tale dress.” According to reports, among the 50 guests at the wedding were tennis star Boris Becker, Madonna’s husband, Guy Ritchie (whose movie “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” was produced by Vaughn), Sting’s wife, Trudie Styler, and Valentino. At the reception afterwards, Reuters was able to discover, traditional German wedding cake was served, along with Dom Perignon. Sure beats baby formula.
