Marriage, she says, is simply not a priority. “It didn’t ever really occur to me,” she told Wednesday’s USA Today. “My focus is having a happy, loving environment. I feel like as long as we’re committed to each other and we have a happy home, we have a marriage – just not with a piece of paper.” The CBS star, 32, gave birth to son Jackson Phillip in December. Is there anything that would sway her to make it legal? “If it becomes an issue for Adam or Jackson,” she said. While her own parents – whom the actress describes as “hippie, liberal” – never married, her mother took the plunge with Montgomery’s stepfather when her younger half sister asked if they’d make it official.
