Neve Campbell and British actor John Light have married, PEOPLE has confirmed.

“Neve was married in a small ceremony in Malibu on Saturday,” her rep, Jill Fritzo, says.

The two reportedly met on the set of the 2001 independent movie they were making together, Investigating Sex.

When they became engaged in February 2006, Light, now 32, got down on one knee and recited Shakespeare to Campbell, 33, PEOPLE reported.

Campbell, best known for her role as the brainy Julia Salinger on the 1994-2000 TV family drama Party of Five, also starred in all three Scream films.

Light starred in the 2003 Showtime movie The Lion in Winter and also appeared in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.

This is the second marriage for the Ontario, Canada-born Campbell, who split from Canadian actor Jeff Colt in 1997, after 2 1/2 years of marriage. She was also linked to John Cusack in 1998 – the same year she was named one of PEOPLE’s 50 Most Beautiful People.
