Nathan Sykes is set to perform at the PEOPLE Now Concert Series Presented by Toyota Music, which will be streamed on PEOPLE.com and other Time Inc. digital platforms at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday. But before he takes the stage, the 23-year-old singer chatted with Aaron Eisenberg about his upcoming album, Unfinished Business, which features collaborations with G-Eazy, as well as, Sykes’ ex Ariana Grande. When asked how the former couple is able to keep things harmonious in the studio, Sykes says it boils down to one word: “Maturity. Kind of just being like, ‘The music is the most important thing, that’s what we both really care about.'” Their post-split musical union has given us friendship goals, and also Sykes’ recent single, “Over And Over Again.” Sykes also revealed how often he keeps in touch with the guys from The Wanted. But I think that when you’re kind of living on top of people every single day like every minute of your life for five years – it’s kind of nice to breathe.” Sykes’ PEOPLE Now Concert Series Presented by Toyota Music performance on Thursday will be followed by Beyoncé protégées Chloe x Halle on Aug. 11 and Austin and Ally star Laura Marano on Aug. 18.
