British supermodel Naomi Campbell denied allegations that she assaulted a former assistant and threatened to throw her from a moving car. She asked a New York court Monday to dismiss the complaint against her. In seeking $8 million in a civil suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court in October, the former employee, Georgia Galanis, 39, alleged she suffered emotional distress and physical injuries at the hands of Campbell, 28, while working for the model during an eight-day period in Toronto in September. Galanis alleges that Campbell (who is facing criminal charges in a Toronto court over the incident) slapped her around, hit her in the head with a phone, threatened to throw her out of a moving car and slammed her against a wall. Campbell’s lawyer says the model intends to vigorously defend herself.
