Nanny's Parents Charged
The parents of Louise Woodward, the young English nanny convicted of manslaughter in the death of an infant in Boston in 1997, have been charged by police in England with stealing from the trust fund set up to pay for their daughter’s defense, reports The New York Times. Sue Woodward, 42, and Gary Woodward, 43, who are separated, are charged with the theft. Their attorney, Neil Cobley, said they are accused of forging expense claims from their time in the U.S. during the trial. “The charges are vigorously denied,” he said.
