Disney and Pixar’s “Monsters Inc.,” about a monster factory whose rank and file includes a lime-green, one-eyed wisecracker voiced by Billy Crystal, is a monster hit. It recorded the best debut ever for an animated film and the sixth-best opening of all time, according to studio estimates Sunday. The film even performed better than the earlier “Toy Story” movies and “A Bug’s Life.” Opening in second place this weekend was “The One,” Jet Li’s latest action film and his strongest opening to date.
