The Parkers star has given birth to boys Jonathan and David
Mo’Nique has her hands full. The Parkers star gave birth to twin boys on Oct. 3, PEOPLE has confirmed.
“Monique is doing well and the twins are well also,” says her rep.
The baby boys, Jonathan and David, were born at 10:30 pm at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The twins were two months premature and weigh 4 lbs and 3 lbs respectively, but are doing fine says her rep. Their father is Mo’Nique’s fiancé, Sidney Hicks, 38, who was the actress’s high school sweetheart.
“Sid and I are ecstatic with our two bundles of joy, David and Jonathan. They are beautiful babies. Everyone is doing great,” Mo’Nique tells PEOPLE.
The 37-year-old Mo’Nique, whose full name is Mo’Nique Imes-Jackson, gained popularity playing single mom Nikki Parker on the UPN sitcom. This year she also hosted Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance, a beauty pageant for full-figured women, and on Friday she opens in the new movie Domino, starring Keira Knightley.
Speaking at the BET Awards last June, the pregnant actress told PEOPLE she wasn’t aware of the gender of the twins, but had a feeling one was a girl.
Mo’Nique also has a son from a former marriage to Mark Jackson.
