YouTube stars are no longer confined to their little corner of the Internet.

Colleen Ballinger-Evans, the Internet star behind the character Miranda Sings, just landed the first-ever scripted streaming series for a YouTube personality.

Sings, a wildly untalented fictional singer who believes she is extraordinary, is an oddball character from Ballinger-Evans’ imagination that has garnered millions of fans on YouTube. (The Miranda Sings channel has over 5.7 million subscribers and over 700 million views.) The new, eight-episode series, called Haters Back Off, will dive deep into her wacky family life.

Ballinger-Evans created the Sings character in 2008 and since then has also appeared on shows like Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld and on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

No launch date has been set for the show, which Ballinger-Evans developed with Chris Ballinger, Perry Rein and Gigi McCreery, the latter two having worked on Friends and Wizards of Waverly place.
