Just 16 years old, Miranda Cosgrove already has a full showbiz resume: a Teen Choice Award nomination, the hit TV show iCarly on Nickelodeon and now a song for the upcoming animated film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Cosgrove will perform “Raining Sunshine” for the end credits of the movie, based on the popular children’s book, which arrives in theaters Sept. 18 and stars the voices of Anna Faris, Andy Samberg and Bill Hader.

“She’s an amazing artist who brings her smart, fresh style to our film,” says Lia Vollack, president of worldwide music for Sony Pictures Entertainment. – Mike Fleeman
