The singer assures "everyone is happy" as she embarks on her world tour
“My family is good,” Cyrus, who embarks on her Gypsy Heart Tour on April 27, tells the Associated Press. “They are stoked for tour. As long as I’m happy, they are happy.”
“I think it’s good, especially when you go on the road,” says Cyrus, 18, whose father, Billy Ray, recently announced he had called off his divorce from wife Tish. “You have to make sure everyone is happy before you start traveling.”
The only possible problem as she starts her tour in South America? Cyrus doesn’t speak a lick of the local language.
“I actually failed Spanish, so I will have someone with me making sure I can get through,” she says.
Disappointingly for fans, the singer – who will also visit Australia on this tour – isn’t planning on crisscrossing the United States any time soon.
“I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don’t know if they want me to tour or not,” she speculates. “Right now, I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love, and Australia and South America have done that for me.”
Adds Cyrus: “[I] don’t want to go anywhere where I don’t feel completely comfortable with it.”
