When you’re a pop star one thing’s for certain: You never know where your family is going to land for the holidays, according to Miley Cyrus.

“It is so chaotic all the time,” says Cyrus, who spreads Christmas cheer in a reindeer outfit on the Dec. 14 episode of her hit show Hannah Montana. “We just always make sure we’re together no matter what.”

For the Cyrus clan, “we’re never really all home on a holiday, so it’s kind of hard to keep traditions alive,” says Cyrus, 16. “The most important thing is not about doing the same thing every year, but creating new memories.”

Cyrus is usually the one to capture those feel-good moments. “I’m always the one taking the pictures, and then I never am in the pictures!” says Cyrus. “I wish I had not been obsessing with taking the pictures and remembered to embrace the moment.”

This year, however, will be different. Says the singer: “It’s important at Christmastime to be daring – to put your cell phone and your computer away and actually be with your family and not just be worrying about other things that you can deal with every other day.”
