It was a night of gowns, glitz and glamour for red carpet regulars, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Heidi Klum, and fresher faces. Like Tim Tebow.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala boasted an A-List guest list (as usual) Monday night in New York, where football quarterbacks and big-screen stars alike dressed to impress.

Also flocking to Fifth Avenue to celebrate the museum’s latest fashion exhibit, which features the designs of Miuccia Prada and the late Elsa Schiaparelli: Scarlett Johansson, January Jones and Eva Mendes, as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour played host in a white Prada gown.

It was date night for some of Hollywood’s cutest couples, such as Justin Timberlake and his soon-to-be wife Jessica Biel, who rocked $2 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz gems. Tom Brady and supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen, stunning in a slit-to-there beaded Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown, also kept it cozy on the red carpet.

But, as usual, the hottest (or hautest) dates were the designers themselves, and stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Hilary Swank made their entrances with Valentino and Michael Kors, respectively.

And leave it to PEOPLE’s reigning World’s Most Beautiful Woman to steal the fashion spotlight. With 4-month-old Blue Ivy at home, Beyoncé showed off her body-after-baby in a daring sheer Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci embroidered gown with a purple ombreé train.
