After being ridiculed by her teammates on The Celebrity Apprentice for having had Botox, Melissa Rivers takes the high road and says, “It’s not their business.”

“You can’t tell if I’m happy or sad, you know why? Because it’s not their business to know my emotions when we’re working,” Rivers. 41, tells PEOPLE. “When I’m working, I’m so focused.”

But her lack of expressions isn’t sitting so well with others on the NBC reality show. Fellow Apprentice teammate Claudia Jordan sneers: “She scares me. I don’t know if she’s happy or sad or pissed off because of the forehead that doesn’t move.”

It’s going to take a lot more to rile Rivers. “There were times that it really did feel like high school,” she says of her experience on the show. “At one point, everybody cracks. It’s a job. And it’s work. You just have to rise above it.”

Still, she doesn’t care what anyone thinks about her use of Botox, which she started having injected into her forehead a couple of years ago.

“I was at the dermatologist and they’re like, ‘You know, a little Botox right in your forehead wouldn’t be a bad idea.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, try it.’ I tried it and it was fine,” Rivers says. “Getting Botox now is like getting your eyebrows done.”
