Timothy McVeigh, 32, convicted in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing (which killed 168 people and injured more than 500), allowed a deadline to pass Thursday night without asking President George W. Bush to spare his life, a spokeswoman for the Department of Justice has told reporters. McVeigh is scheduled to die by lethal injection on May 16.
