Talk about putting on a brave face.

The evening after she announced on the Today show that she’ll undergo a double mastectomy to treat her breast cancer, E! host Giuliana Rancic went back to work, covering the celebrity arrivals at the N.Y.C. premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey.

Among the famous faces: Angelina Jolie, whom Rancic interviewed about the film (it’s Jolie’s directorial and screenwriter debut).

It’s obviously work as normal for Rancic, who told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM 102.7 show Tuesday that, “I’ll be on E! News Monday and then I’ll be out of your hair for two weeks.”

Also on Tuesday, she and husband Bill Rancic continued to put on a united front, chatting candidly with Wendy Williams about the ordeal on her talk show.

“Listen, I love my girls [but] I’m gonna feel more like a woman when this is all done,” said Giuliana. “I think scars are beautiful. I think scars tell a story.”

“A badge of courage,” added her husband.

As for the reconstruction – which Rancic said she’d undergo at the same time as the mastectomy – her husband is equally supportive.

“They’ve come a long way,” he said of the procedures. “We’ve seen a lot of before and after and it’s remarkable.”

“They might come out looking even hotter,” joked Giuliana. “You gotta have fun with this. We find the humor in everything. Bill helped pick ’em out. I’m like, Bill, that big? Really?”
