Toss your hats in the air: That on-again, off-again, Mary Richards-Rhoda Morgenstern reunion is back ON again, reports Variety. Though ABC shelved a sequel series to the great ’70s sitcom “Mary Tyler Moore Show” last year, the network has committed to a one-shot, two-hour, made-for-TV movie — to air in the early spring of 2000 — that will pick up everybody’s old pals Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) and Rhoda (Valerie Harper) 20 years later. It will be written by Katie Ford, a veteran of “Family Ties.” There’s no word yet on whether the other “MTM” vets — Ed Asner (Lou Grant), Cloris Leachman (Phyllis), Gavin MacLeod (Murray), Betty White (Sue Ann) or Georgia Engel (Georgette) — will appear. Ted Knight, who played newsman Ted Baxter, died in 1986.
